Overview
Treatment Stages are a way to organize patients by where they are in their Care Journey within Navigate. Stages can be used to quickly assess the next actions for a single patient or as an overview of all patients & what stages of care they are in.
If you are using Navigate, you can work with your EngagedMD representative to turn on Treatment Stages and configure your stage names, colors, and order.
Assigning Patients to Stages
After accessing the patient record, you can assign patients to a Stage using the dropdown next to their name.
- If a patient has multiple Episodes of Care, the patient header will display the Stage for the currently selected Episode of Care.
- If you change the Stage from the patient header, you will also be prompted to confirm the Episode of Care you are changing the Stage for.
- You can also assign a Stage to a patient directly within an Episode of Care after it has been selected.
- Finally, if you are using the Staff Dashboard, you can update the Stage of a patient from the Dashboard or within the patient quick-view window in the Dashboard.
Stage Automation
With your EngagedMD Representative’s help, you can designate a Stage that will be automatically applied to any new Episode of Care as the first Stage for all patient treatment. You can also designate a Stage that will automatically move an Episode of Care to “inactive” when this stage is selected for a patient.
