Your browser has a folder in which certain items that have been downloaded are stored for future use. Graphic images (such as buttons and icons), photos, and even entire web pages are examples of items that are saved or cached. When visiting a webpage, your browser checks if a copy of the files on the page is in its cache already. If so, it will save the visitor some downloading and make webpages load faster.
There are some situations within EngagedMD where your cache can cause problems. Here are instructions on how to clear your browser’s cache in Google Chrome.
Depending on your current Chrome version, these steps and/or icons may look different on your browser.
1. Open a Google Chrome page and look to the top right corner. You should see a vertical ellipsis icon.
2. Once you have clicked on the ellipsis look for “More Tools”.
3. When you hover over “More Tools” you will see a sub-menu pop-up. From this sub-menu click on “Clear Browsing Data...”
4. A new tab will open up with the Clear browsing data settings. You have a drop-down menu with options for the time range you want to be cleared. You may choose “All time”. Click on “Clear data” and then refresh your webpage.
